LBC WORKERS HOLD “PROTEST RUN” VERSUS MANAGEMENT’S UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE
In preparation for their upcoming collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiations on September, rank and file workers of LBC Davao held a “protest run” in order to call on the LBC management to end unfair labor practice. Led by the LBC Davao Employees Union (LBDCDEU-ADLO-KMU), around 30 ran from Freedom Park to C.M. Recto St., wearing black shirts and protest signs to convey their demands to management.
The union accused LBC management of non-compliance with CBA provisions related to benefits and regularization of employees. Furthermore, the union hit management’s tactics to quell the union’s campaign to end management’s unfair sanctions policy as well as its persistent efforts to discredit union president Butch Gajudo by slapping him with numerous complaints.
